In relation to its location, the project is situated on the boundary between the consolidated urban fabric and the areas of future expansion. The transition between the two is articulated by means of a strip of natural land linked to the river Meder. On the northern edge, the consolidated fabric is configured on the basis of courtyards towards which the rear facades of the terraced houses overlook.<\/p>

The aim of the project is to integrate the building attached to the consolidated area as a piece fused into the existing urban fabric, while linking the open spaces with the natural territory structured by the riverbank.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

It also proposes the use of project systems capable of resolving, by means of common tools -mainly the relationship with the terrain, the geometry and the roofs-, elements of very different uses and scales such as those that make up the programme. In this sense, it also seeks to incorporate the volume of the stage box within the rules of the system adopted.<\/p>

Particularly relevant is the use of the passageway from Can Serratosa as the backbone that organises and provides access to the different parts of the programme, as well as the use of a sloping roof that descends from the upper part of the stage box and unfolds to cover the porches and classrooms.<\/p>

In terms of materials - concrete, natural basalt stone, aluminium, among others - a metallic cladding of copper and aluminium alloy is introduced on the highest fa\u00e7ades of the stage box and the School of Music, which directs the gaze towards the profile of the complex and, from there, towards the skyline of the city of Vic.<\/p>
